Why We Must End Border-Town Road Neglect in Ifo and Ado-Odo/Ota Corridor

OTA / IFO : Chief Ambassador Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin has issued an urgent policy statement addressing the protracted state of infrastructural decay along the critical Lagos-Ogun border corridors encompassing Ifo, Agbado, Akute, Sango-Ota, and Igbesa.

"It is a moral and economic travesty that the industrial engine of Ogun State - which generates over 65% of the state's internal revenue and houses the highest concentration of factories in West Africa - is left with impassable craters, flooded neighborhoods, and dilapidated commuter bridges," Fayoyin stated.

The candidate unveiled the Border Economic Corridors Highway Fund (BECHF), an innovative infrastructure mechanism that will dedicate a guaranteed percentage of industrial tax receipts directly to the construction and maintenance of high-capacity dual-carriageway commuter expressways in border settlements.

"Our citizens in Akute, Lambe, Ifo, and Ota pay their taxes diligently. They deserve roads that do not destroy their vehicles or force them into 4-hour daily gridlocks. In 2027, we will restore dignity and economic vitality to these industrial border gateways," he affirmed.
