NRM Directorate Issues Communiqué on Peaceful 2027 Gubernatorial Mobilization

ABEOKUTA : The Directorate of Media and Publicity of the Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin Campaign Organization (Rescue Ogun 2027) has issued an official communiqué following its statewide strategy summit in Abeokuta.

The Directorate called on all security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), civil society organizations, and democratic stakeholders to maintain strict neutrality and ensure an enabling environment for issue-driven democratic contestation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

"Our campaign represents the legitimate yearning of millions of Ogun citizens who are tired of elite imposition, neglected healthcare, and cosmetic governance. We remain unequivocally committed to a peaceful, non-violent, and ideas-focused campaign across all 236 political wards," the communiqué read.

The campaign warned against any attempts to intimidate opposition supporters or harass grassroots mobilizers in rural communities, reiterating that the collective will of the Ogun electorate cannot be subverted by political godfatherism.
