Fayoyin Unveils 100% LGA Financial Autonomy & Grassroots Marshall Plan for Ogun State

ABEOKUTA : Addressing a grand gathering of community elders, artisanal union executives, market leaders, and youth vanguards in the historic Ake hall, Chief Ambassador Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin, gubernatorial candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), officially made public his administration's groundbreaking covenant for 100% Local Government Financial and Administrative Autonomy.

"No state can achieve enduring prosperity when its 20 local governments are starved of funds and reduced to salary-paying annexes of the state government house. In 2027, the diversion of federal allocations belongs to history. Every kobo belonging to our LGAs will go directly to repairing rural roads, installing solar streetlights, equipping primary health centers, and sustaining grassroots security," Fayoyin declared to resounding applause.

Under the Rescue Ogun 2027 master plan, each of the 20 Local Government Areas will operate with constitutional fiscal independence, overseen by an open digital budgeting portal accessible to every ward resident. Special state matching grants will also be deployed to fast-track agrarian feeder roads connecting farms to major urban markets in Abeokuta, Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode, and Ota.

Leaders of the Coalition of Ogun Artisans and Market Women present at the consultation commended Chief Fayoyin's boldness, highlighting that the candidate is the only gubernatorial aspirant with an unblemished record of grassroots philanthropy and resistance to godfatherism.
