Elders, community leaders, and local government stakeholders:

True democracy cannot breathe when the tiers of government closest to the people are systematically starved and suffocated. The Joint Local Government Allocation Account has been converted into an opaque slush fund by successive administrations, rendering our 20 local council secretariats into ghost towns where chairmen cannot even grade a rural feeder road.

We hereby present the Rescue Ogun 20 LGA Autonomy Charter. From our first month in office, all Federation Account allocations belonging to the 20 local councils will go directly into council accounts without state deductions or administrative interference. In return, council chairmen and councilors will be held strictly accountable for maintaining ward healthcare centers, rural farm access roads, and community policing synergy. When our councils are strong, Ogun State is invincible.
