The Border Communities Declaration: Emergency on Ifo, Ota & Peri-Urban Infrastructure

"For decades, our communities bordering Lagos have been treated as mere revenue-generating cash cows without commensurate infrastructure. Today, we declare a state of emergency on these vital arteries."

My brothers and sisters across Ifo, Ado-Odo/Ota, Agbado, Akute, Ojodu, and every community bordering Lagos:

You contribute over 65% of the Internally Generated Revenue of Ogun State, yet when rain falls, your children wade through muddy lakes to reach school. Workers spend three to four hours daily navigating a 15-kilometer journey. Industrialists are packing up their machines and moving elsewhere because roads have simply disintegrated.

Under our Rescue Ogun administration, the neglect of border towns ends on Day One. We will establish the Ogun Border Corridor Infrastructure Development Authority (OBCIDA) with dedicated statutory capital funding to deliver dualized, durable road networks, comprehensive storm drainage, and 24/7 solar electrification. Ifo and Ota will no longer be forgotten suburbs; they will be the proud economic gateway of Western Nigeria.
